Genocide

Genocide
Genocides have shown to have both evil out ways good and good out ways evil. Hitler made an army of his own the SS soldiers and corrupted them to thinking the Jews were the bad. In the book Night Elie talks about how evil got so strong that kids would kill their parents for just a piece of bread. On page 101 of Night it says “ Meir, little Meir! Don’t you recognize me… You’re killing your father …I have bread…for you too…for you too…”. It shows how one person of evil can make an effect on so many people. Evil corrupts people so bad that they will kill their own family for something such as bread. In the interview with Elie and Oprah they said how big the Auschwitz and it’s amazing and sicking to think about how Hitler could round up that many Jews and fill up Auschwitz. In the Cambodia genocide the Khmer Rouge were like Hitler. They thought the rich were out to get the poor. In the article Worms from our skin there was a part that said “The rich farmers and the landlords. Their crime was exploiting the peasants. They also corrupted the peasant to believe that the upper class where better than them. They also had so much evil that little kids were killing people for no reasons. One corruption that has happened is the shooting in the elementary where instant kids died for no reason.
But I also think good out ways evil. I think it takes awhile for the good to come out but it does. Good came when the Americans came on April 10 to Buchenwald. On page 115 “At six o lock that afternoon, the first American tank stood at the gates Buchenwald. This is the good over waying the evil that Americans are finally taking down the SS soldiers. Same as Elie getting out of Buchenwald and becoming a big name in American shows how the bad things he encountered in the camp made him stronger. The lady who wrote the article Worms from Our skin had a good out come after being worked almost to death. She was able to move away and come to America. Sydney Schanberg was able to go to Cambodia and cover what was going on over there so we could go help them.

Evil and good out way each other both ways there is no one way. Some of the heroes that I thought were Sydney and Dith for covering the genocide and risking there life’s so people could know what was really going on. I thought Elie was a hero sticking by his father through the time whole time and how he did not let what happen to him determine the rest of his life; he’s telling his story about what happened. I think there is no one way I think evil out ways good and good out ways evil.
