My favorite book that I remember reading in High School is "Child Called It".  The challenges as he goes through as a kid no one should go down that road. This is about his mom abusing him in many different way and everyday he has to steal food from his school. When the  books ends, he gets to go to foster care and later on he gets a good degree in college.

    Many people really appreciate this book. I think people love to hear a story of beating the odds.

    oh my goodness, this was one of the saddest books i've ever read. it makes me want to cry every time :(

    I started to read this book, I liked it so far, but the further I got into the book I didn't even want to finish it.
